Storyboard Update

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Saturday! I've been working a bit more on my storyboard today, and I just figured out a fun and creative way to display it in my office (which also happens to be my guest bedroom). A few of you have expressed interest in figuring out exactly what I'm up to, so here it is:

I used tacks to secure the twine to the wall, and I used clothespins to arrange my plotted note cards. Each card is highlighted with a unique color assigned to each major character, and none of the cards are numbered--which allows me to rearrange/delete things as needed.

Very simple, and very straightforward, but a great way to keep myself inspired and organized. I hope this inspires you as well!

Great idea! I've tried doing a storyboard on a corkboard before, but this looks like it would have a lot more space.

This is fabulous! I need to figure out a fun, creative way to storyboard and plot. that way I may actually DO IT! Seriously- it makes so much sense, but I have to find something that works for me. I really love this idea. I'm going to try it! Thanks for sharing.

Very interesting! It seems you've inspired many of us, Lisa. Maybe you can show a few weeks of accomplishing your goal through use of the story board. You know, step by step.

too cool! You know, I was on Pinterest the other day, and I thought of your boards. I'm going to use it to make picture boards of inspirational stuff. And for my next novel that I *write* (not revise), I think I'm going to be boarding... eep! :o) <3 good luck~

Ooh, this is interesting. I just use my bulletin board to gather energy from inspiring images. Now I just need to figure out how to extricate myself from my loving husband's fuzzy hugs, and the hypnotic glow of the TV.

I'm doing the digital version of this in Scrivner. It's fun, and I get to color code so I feel like I've created something even if I just rearrange cards. I tell myself it's part of the process, especially when I'm getting over a 3 day headache.
