Bring on the Rain!

More uncertainty on the "where will we be living next month" front, but today was another very productive day on the submissions front. (You gotta have your priorities, you know??)

I checked my email at lunchtime and found another full request in my inbox--bringing my grand total to four fulls under review (!!).  I'm so excited that I can hardly stand it, and this agent is... amazing.  They are ALL amazing, actually, and I'm kinda so starstruck by the idea that my lowly manuscript might accidentally touch the work of a genius in their offices somewhere... that... well, I just don't know what to do.

The short answer is, of course... Get my head out of the clouds and start looking at some houses on Craigslist... ;)

Yaaay! It's always such a boost to get some recognition, even if it's not quite the 3-book-deal we're all hoping for. :)

Woohoo! You are climbing the request charts like a diva pro, girl! So happy for you. :) I've got a REALLY good feeling about all of this. Keeping my sites on you for an upcoming QT interview. :) Sending up the vibes for you!

Oh wow - 4 requests for your manuscript - that is just awesome. You've done better than I have. I wish you all the luck.

Delightful pictures. The one with you? sitting on the camel looks so warm. haha

Thank you guys so much for all your sweet comments. This submission process has been one of the most painful and tumultuous things I've ever dealt with, so I'm trying not to get too worked up over the requests. Definitely appreciating this little burst of excitement, though!

Oh yes, Anna, and that delightful camel is definitely one of the loves of my life. His name is Knobby, and this is the first picture we took after I taught him to sit down on command. You can see how proud we both are! :)

Hi Lisa-Good luck on your road to publication. It looks like you are getting closer by the day. Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog! I remember the feeling of waiting...I was going crazy. I still can't believe my book will be published. You also have an amazing background and story to share it looks like, so I'm sure you'll have good news soon! Nice to find you on SheWrites and on my blog! Keep in touch!

Congrats! That is the best news. I am in just starting to look for an agent phase - and feeling overwhelemed by the next pase. I thought writing the book was the hard part! Yeah for you! (found you via she writes, btw)

Hey LisaAnn! Here via Anita's blog, but I've run into you around the QT comment threads and forums a couple times I think! Good to find you out in the blogosphere and good luck with everything. I'm in the middle of moving myself, so I feel you on the aggravation there!
